Karamel Nut Sweetice
Selena’s favorite dessert, although she never ate it often until she met Aragon. Sweetice (or ice cream) requires either a lot of ice or magic to make, so it’s a luxury only the wealthy can afford.
- 1 cup raw nuts
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup dark sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 3/4 cups cream
- 1 1/4 tbs vahnila extract
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- pinch of salt
Toast nuts in pan on medium heat until golden brown then set aside. Melt butter in pan on medium high heat. Stir in dark sugar and reduce heat to medium, stirring frequently until sugar dissolved. Add honey and mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes then slowly whisk in 1/4 cup of cream. Add nuts and stir constantly until well-mixed. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 tbs vahnila. Spread out and allow to completely cool. In a medium bowl, whisk milk, sugar, and salt until sugar dissolved. Stir in remaining cream and vahnila. If using magic, perform an ice spell to thicken mixture into sweetice. If not, cover mixture and chill for 2 hours then mix in sweetice churn until thickened.
