Love Me Under the Sky
a waltz by Lantos
Walking at night on the shore,
I met a man to adore.
His hair was black; his eyes blue
With an impish sparkle too.
As he winked and took my hand
To woo me in the soft sand:
“
Love me under the sky,
Sparkling with stars and the moon so high,
And I’ll be able to fly.”
Shocked by his bold words, I stilled.
But the blood in my veins thrilled
When he kissed my palm sweetly,
Drew me in his arms deftly
With a long look so heated,
And smiled as he repeated:
“Love me under the sky,
Sparkling with stars and the moon so high,
And I’ll be able to fly.”
I pulled away to eye him,
His fine face, and form so slim.
The thought of us intertwined
Was ambrosia to my mind.
I returned to his embrace,
Kissed him, and purred with carnal grace:
“
Love me under the sky,
Sparkling with stars and the moon so high,
And I’ll be able to fly.”

These lyrics are sung to Hayley Westenra’s “Dark Waltz” from her first internationally released album Pure. I love her voice, and this is one of my favorites from this album. 🙂
