Dear Lady Juliet,
Thank you for your information about the magical properties of metals. In your letter, you mentioned both copper and bronze can be used in love spells. What other ingredients can be used to create love spells? Are there different types of love spells? Do they create genuine love, or must the spell be maintained for the love to last?
Thanks again,

Dear Mr. Thyme,
Like any other spell, there are many forms of love spells. They can be a combination of the different orders of magic as well as include different ingredients. And also like other spells, love spells must be periodically renewed to maintain them. So the love will fade if the spell does, unless the love spell merely sparked potential love. (And unless the love remains after the love spell has faded, I would not count it as genuine.)
Some common ways to perform love spells are binding together two objects (like dolls) representing the two lovers, soaking in a hot bath infused with a love spell (either alone or together), hanging a love spell over the seeker’s bed, or giving the recipient a potion.
As I mentioned in my previous letter, both copper and bronze can be used in love spells, but copper for more emotional love while bronze for steadier love. Several different crystals can be used as well: rose quartz for compassionate love, pink agate for deep love, peach shimmer-quartz for calm love, and green jade for healing love.
Several plants can be included in love spells as well: roses (especially pink or red) for passionate love, cinnaspice or gingyr for lusty love, basil or pacculi for devoted love, lavender or lymon for affectionate love, rosemary to protect the heart, and nutmeg to ease new love.
Several magical ingredients can be used in love spells too: unicorn water or ambrosia helps heal hearts and emotional wounds, faedust helps enchant, nightmara hair helps call dreams, and gold apples help rouse passion.
Finally, love spells are enhanced when blood or hair from the seeker and recipient are included.
However, I would strongly advise against performing love spells. They often do not turn out as the seeker expected or desired, the cost tends to be detrimental to the seeker (and sometimes the recipient too), and the love typically fades unless the spell is renewed.
Sincerely,
Lady Juliet, Royal Witch of Calatini
