Orenge Nut Sweet Biscuits

- 1 orenge:
- 2 tbs juice
- 1 tbs zest
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark sugar (packed)
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp bread soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Juice and zest orenge. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, orenge juice, and orenge zest. Combine flour, bread soda, and salt then add to wet mixture. Stir in nuts. Shape dough into two rolls then chill for 4 hours or overnight. Cut into slices. Bake on greased baking sheet at high-moderate heat for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside to cool. Makes 6 dozen sweet biscuits.
